When I use the Windows XP backup utility, I am unable to backup any open files, despite the shadow copy function. This function is NOT disabled and I just started having this problem in the last 6 months. Any file that is open on my computer is not backed up during the process and I get a "file skipped" error, although there is no specific error code presented. I double checked the shadow copy function was enabled and have tried to both append and replace old files.1 person needs an answerI do too
